ABOUT US

The India project is an intercultural and service-learning project based on the international, humanitarian values of Ecolint. The mission of the project?  To educate for a better world.

 

The Ecolint student and teacher team made their first visit to Kodaikanal in 2001 and we are privileged to have had over twenty years of service learning and collaboration in  community projects.

LITTLE LILIES

Little Lilies Crèche lies in the heart of the village of Pallangi, about 10km from the town of Kodaikanal, and it now supports 50 children, aged 3-5 It was started by the Ecolint India team with the Betsy Elizabeth Trust in 2002.

GRACE KIDS

Grace Kids Centre, in Chellapuram on the outskirts of Kodaikanal, was the first crèche opened by the Betsy Elizabeth Trust in 1990, and it now provides day care for 50 children, aged 3-5.

PEACH TREE

Peach Tree Crèche, located in the village of Attuvampatti, about 5km from the town of Kodaikanal, was opened by the Ecolint India Team with the Betsy Elizabeth Trust  in 2003.

THAMARAIKULAM

India Project students made their first visit to the tribal village of Thamaraikulam in 2002 and it was the beginning of a new chapter for both communities
